Day 1 Hanoi

Arrived to see no clipboard with my name on it. Is nobody picking me up? :(

Was brought to a hotel in a winding street. Clean and small. Boy it was foggy and a chilly outside

Walked thru the maze in the afternoon n got lost in a part of the Old Quarter. Crazy traffic. All the bomber jackets and fur lined coats, automated Vespas everywhere! It was like a nation of Mods! I even saw a new 2011 automated Lambretta. Bloody Singapore doesn't even have it!

Them bikes on the streets were insane. They seemed like they were going all around the shop. They were so alert. They weave around everyone else. It was like some warped synchronised shit. Horn like ur life depended on it too. Singaporeans would never have survived riding or driving in these conditions. Bloody blur fucks Singaporeans are.

Totally blissful not having anyone I know around me. I was kinda sick of all the fake socializing, fake smiles, fake cheers. I was tired of myself. I knew I was letting myself go, self destructing as my friends told me. For the worst possible reason, men.... Sigh... fml

Took me ages to get back to the hotel since I had no idea where I went. I used a bright orange tofu shop as my guide that the hotel was nearby.

I felt ill in the tummy after not eating anything since the day before n gorging on a whole lot when I could

Stayed in the hotel from 7pm till 9pm since I assumed that there would be less vehicles after 9pm. Ended up being lost again, unwittingly pulled into the weekend night market by massive human traffic AND getting caught in bike traffic.

It was 3 hrs before I could go back to the hotel.

Day 2 Hanoi to Sapa

Spent day lazing at a Hanoi Social Club where they have awesome coffees and burgers.

8.30pm train ride was long and tedious. Took King Express first class soft sleeper. Met a totally adventurous couple from Switzerland and a chirpy Aussie man living in France sharing the 4 berth cabin. Talked a little. Realized that we were all totally unprepared for the weather in Sapa.

Could hardly sleep. Was like a young colt jerking and prancing around.

Day 3 Sapa

Stopped in Lao Cai at 5am. Totally unacceptable hour.

Met Liz n Chris from Australia. Taught them how to get thru the Facebook block in Vietnam, then we became Facebook friends.They made Sapa more interesting since we met up occasionally on the same trek and at rest stops.

Bak Ho market was utterly busy. Muddy and smelly. Loads of tribal people with babies slung behind them. Animals being treated badly. I was bored as hell till I met up w Liz n Chris again. I mean, u've seen one u've seen one market and u've seen them all. I was more of a scenery person... I hate crowds what was I thinking?

Liz had her pouch stolen while at the market, in it her passport and money. The moment of loss was palatable. We searched her pockets for a min, then a bunch of boys walked past n dropped it in front of us. The pickpocketers actually gave Liz back her passport! Crazy isn't it?

Visited a farm in Sapa.. Realized that training shoes are totally impractical for treks and mud

Have officially not showered for 24 hours.

Freezing at night in Sapa town. Bloody 7 degrees and no clothes. Thanks to everyone back home who told me not to bring any winter wear.

I love Bamboo Hotel. The view form the window was stunning! Kudos to the tour which booked it for me. I had paid (quite price-ily) for private tour which was perfect since I didn't want the hassle of being in a group and waiting for people or having them wait for me.

Day 4 Sapa

Perfect day for trekking! We had freak good weather. Looking thru the window of 15 degrees of cool air and blue skies!

Started the 13 km walk to the homestay of an ethnic minority faimly. The trek was ok. I hardly minded the slopes and long walk or even the mud. I loved it! But I hated the fact that I wore the absolute wrong shoes :(

We had a power failure in the night throughout the whole village. It didn't really matter since there weren't any heaters in the homestays. They offered big warm blankets, so softly comforting.

Day 5 Sapa

Goodbye homestay! Woke bright and early at 8 to prepare for trek to the waterfalls and then to Ban Ho village. Let me emphasize at this point that we've been having good weather so far. If it had rained it would almost be impossible for us non trekkers to walk thru the terrain without causing a landslide lol.

Found out that running shoes are very very inappropriate for trekking in slippery mud

Even going down a dry sandy slope was tricky

According to my deceivingly sadist guide, Thuc, not many travellers trek down to Ban Ho village. Reason being too far. He said that even he, only makes a trip to Ban Ho village only once every 3 months. Well.. off we go!

Day 6 Sapa to Hanoi

Sapa Town is really small and methinks u'd only need 30 mins to WALK thru it, I spent the day cafe hopping and getting a massage.

So I'm waiting at Lao Cai train station to go back to Hanoi and there's this very cute Aussie boy across me with his friends. Bloody young, prolly 20. He was obnoxious n talked loudly, chewing a baguette with his mouth open n drinking Tiger beer from th bottle. Pity, he's cute, but I really felt like slapping him when he said very loudly to nobody in particular, "I'M FROM MELBOURNE!" okaaay ... Now be a good boyo, shut it and chew with ur mouth closed. Tyvm.

It was while I was in the train back to Hanoi that I realised that I had a sunburn on my face. Fuck.

Lol I put on my earphones n turned my music on but I didn't realize that my earphones weren't plugged in and 'November Rain' was on full blast for a while. How embarrassing.

Day 7 Hanoi to Halong Bay

Do take an overnight Halong Bay cruise. I've heard it's beautiful and also, u won't have to suffer 3.5 hrs to go there and then back again

The limestone caves were absolutely stunning. Of course the fake lightings made a difference too!

I'm now back in Singapore. Lighter of heart. I'm not as bitter as I was when I left. I made myself repeat that I can't help that retards surround me. I feel better knowing that I'm also surrounded by real friends too. They block out the retards who mean nothing and should be there just to prove that I'm a much better person.

Going away solo always reminds me that I never needed anyone else. I am absolutely capable on my own. I love life and all it gives us :D

Acceptance

I absolutely love my life now. Yes I still do think of my ex, maybe I still love him but not anymore that I will pine like a lovelorn dog. I'm still avoiding anything or anyone remotely Greek at the moment but in time, that will pass too.

In all honesty, he did the right thing by breaking up with me. It wouldn't have worked out anyway. His family and friends looked down on me, he didn't trust me and he didn't know what he was doing. It was my own fault for rushing into this in the first place just because he said he wanted to marry me. I guess when u're desperate u'll clutch on to the only floating straw.

I suppose I should thank him one day. Not now, but maybe later. Or maybe not judging by his skills in ignorance.

I'm making many more friends now. I've actually moved on after World of Warcraft because the game reminds me too much of him. Star Wars: The Old Republic is coming out soon and I hope it's just as good as WoW. I'm travelling more and even took a solo holiday to Cambodia to visit the Angkor Wat and all the other amazing temples. I'm happy.

Life is so beautiful now.

I realized that everything u ever said to me was tbh quite BULLSHIT. From marrying and having kids to reconsidering being back with me to saying things like "dun act like I dun wanna talk to you. If I didn't want to, I would have told you straight away". So what is this now? Deleting our photos... unfriending me n my friends... u didn't even have the courtesy to write me a note to tell me. I even helped u by untagging every single photo so u and ur new gf won't see my face, I even gave u good blessings to be with ur new gf... and all I ever got was total bloody BULLSHIT from the moment I met u.God, my friends stuck their necks out to help u find a job in Singapore and then u decided that u didn't want to work here anymore.. one of the Queenies was even on ur sorry ass side when she heard that u broke up with me... that's for gratitude girls.

I may not mean anything to u now, but don't forget what we used to be. Don't u forget that u wanted me to leave everything behind to live in Darwin with u. I'd Like Some "Malakas" Please?

Since my fabulous ex, J, is Greek, it's natural for me to be avoiding anything remotely Greekish at the moment. However, I'm surrounded by Greek stuff now!

On my recovery trip to Bali during my birthday with a great friend, we HAD to stop in a Greek restaurant just because there weren't any other cafes of restaurants nearby. We had been trying to avoid that place since I spied it on the very first night we were there.

Then last Tuesday, I went to Borders to buy something to read during my upcoming solo trip to Cambodia. (Btw the chick lit book I bought turned out to be one I owned but received a black hole syndrome). I was reaching for the amazing break up book when my eyes were caught by this massive hard cover called "Greek Mythology". Fine. I took a stroll to the travel section and I was amazed by the masses of "Athens", "Cyclades", "Greece" popping all over the place. They were everywhere! Even in spots that they weren't supposed to be in, like just beside "Turkey"! It was a either a plot to introduce me to a new form of mental torture or Greece just really needs the tourists' money. For crying out loud, the bookstore is supposed to be my place of happiness!

And just a moment ago, I innocently clicked on the "Next Blog" link on the top of my blog. Surely it'll be a random blog on cooking or someone's artistic musing... Really who has time to blog nowadays?... It was a fecking Greek blog. Sigh. FML

When u don't notice them they aren't around. When ur trying to avoid any contact, they're everywhere!

To unfriend or not to unfriend?

Scenario: So you've been dumped and ur stalking his Facebook account. Every update slaps u in the face. Every photo of him moving on after 2 months and enjoying his life kicks u in the teeth. Pictures of him and a new girl makes u delirious with jealousy. Then suddenly, every photo of you is deleted from his album, u were deleted callously from his life... And then the next day, after u kindly untagged every of his photos so that his new gf and him doesn't see ur face on his photos log, u find that u have been UNFRIENDED! U and all your friends he added.

Trust me, every instinct wanted to delete him from Facebook after he deleted my photos. I kept him there because I didn't want to be petty and I really did want to continue being friends. Well no need to worry about that now. So what exactly is the Facebook etiquette when it comes to exes? I don't deny that he must have had a reason for deleting me. Let me name a few

His new chick could be just a jealous girl and can't stand his ex being on his Facebook
My post on going to Brazil for Mardi Gras may have caused him such intense feelings that he just HAD to delete me
~~He's stalking me and missing me too much~~
He's a miserable old goat
He's moved on and I'm non-existant in his life anymore
His Facebook got hacked and miraculously me and my friends have been deleted
He got abducted by friendly relatives and they did an anal probe on him and forced him to delete me

But whatever it is, I'm already a thing of the past and isn't it better now? No more stalking for me. I won't see his miserable, hypocritical face. I won't see her smiling happily into the camera thinking that she caught the man of the lifetime. Good luck when he controls ur life and accuses u of flirting with the world darling! No more pain looking at him moving on anymore. What's not to be happy about!? I got out of a fucked relationship, I should be popping champagne and calling for a parade and declare 9 June a National holiday!

So he deleted me and my friends off his Facebook friends, so what? It made him look like a sad petty bastard since he dumped me in the first place with a text 'It's over'. I have nothing to lose. He only owed me empty promises. I wasn't dependent on him for anything. I don't owe him anything. It's not the end of the world. In fact, I relish at the thought of moving on to a much better time with my new date, TB. Try guessing what TB means ;).

Why waste time thinking why, what did I do wrong? Why waste time on someone who has absolute no respect for you? Who was in love with a shallow dream? Who made your 29th birthday lonely and just simply shit? Why waste time on someone who told you he was going marry u one day then dump u the next day cos of a quarrel over World of Warcraft. Ha ha!

J unfriended me on Facebook. Big deal. He caused me much more hurt in real, I don't need constant reminders of him in the virtual world as well. Hey I already uninstalled World of Warcraft because of him! (I healed your fucking undead rogue ass and sacrificed myself to save ur miserable virtual life!) I'm glad he did the dirty deed too. He has just confirmed to us all how small of a person he is.

I would have understood if he had kindly just sent me a little short message why he did it. After all, I WAS someone u wanted to be with and loved before. Didn't ur mother teach you manners? Maybe not, I mean even someone so racist can teach something of value to her children. Oh and btw, thanks for 'defending' me when ur mom racially blasts me. Thanks for sitting there quietly listening then telling me afterwards.

Moving on

So J has a new girlfriend now. It's confirmed. My heart broke all over again but there's nothing to do about it but to give blessings and hurt myself later.

So I wrote a mail on Facebook to him.

"It pains me to say this but I wish u all the best for ur relationship with X. It's very obvious.

Remember when u said u would think about our relationship while u were in the airport and I was in Bali? I already knew the answer then.

I love u still, so much that u will never understand. But I am happy u found love from the girl u didn't have the chance to before.

When u told me all those times u loved me and u wanted to marry me and spend ur life with me, I wanted it so much too but I guess circumstances change. I hope u can find it with X. She is gorgeous."

Mind you I was drunk at this time but my brain was working perfectly fine. Drinking to a drunken stupor is absolutely a waste of time. Since I hardly drank, it meant that half a bottle of wine made me jelly legged and buzzing like an electrocuted squirrel.

Typing that email made me sick with pain. I was in two minds about it. I hated them both but yet I was glad at least one of us came out fine. My mind just kept going "fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck" on loop.

Well there's no turning back now. I deleted everything that connected us except Facebook. I threw away all his presents except the tiny speck of a diamond (Hell the camera I gave him cost more than that excuse of a diamond). It's not like he bought me a lot of stuff anyway. Funny thing is that amidst all the lovey dovey pictures of them, I still see him carrying my old bag and the watch I gave him.

Simply, right now I am back to square one. Lonely and in pain all over again. Except that he lied to me yet again.

Thanks to him it'll be hard for me to love again. I'm spent and too tired to pursue it. My mother was right, being single is better. You won't ever get fucked both ways.

When my fabulous ex, J, constantly accuses me of flirting during our relationship and thereafter ACCUSED me of having one night stands after we broke up, I was baffled. I mean you can’t tell someone off for imagining that she/he was having sex with strangers when the accuser himself has already done it! Where is the logic in that? How do you even have sex with someone you dun like? And the chance of disease? I wouldn’t touch a player with a 10m bargepole.

Anyway, in the words of Dalai Lama ,” if there is no solution, no possibility of resolution, then there is also no point in being worried about it, because you cannot do anything about it anyway. In that case, the sooner you accept this fact, the easier it will be for you.” I have decided that this is enough. Enough is enough. I refuse to cry anymore and hide in my shell while he ‘thinks about getting back with me’. In my opinion, if you have already decided not to then dun even SAY YOU’RE GOING TO THINK ABOUT IT!

When I asked my ex, J, why he left me, he gave me 3 reasons.

1. My constant flirting with men on World of Warcraft and adding them on Facebook.

They are people I enjoyed playing with and I added them on Facebook... it's not like I was going to fly over to their respective countries to play doctors with them! And flirting? What flirting? Everyone to J was after me. I'm not some super hot star darling, nobody was looking, it was just you, I told him. But no, everyone from the streets of Bali to the alleys of Phuket and basically everyone on WoW was on to me. How do I fight that?

And he said he was pissed mad because I met a friend who came over to Singapore for 5 days and I spent late nights with him. It's not like he didn't know! I asked J before if he was jealous, he said no. If I knew he was, I would have stopped. But he chose to keep it all inside him till everything exploded in one big ball of green flames.

How many times do I go out a week, I asked him. Don't you see me at home everyday? Don't you talk to me every night? He said yes. But he didn't trust me. He didn't trust the people around me. And it wasn't just the men, it was the women too...

Which brings me to reason 2

3. My temper

Darling, every time I get mad at you, it's for a reason. When you wanted me to go to the top most part of Australia, I told you it's not easy. Do u seriously think everything happens like a miracle? J always thinks about the end destination but never the journey. I made a point to find out. Whether it was me going over or him coming to live in Singapore, I made a point to call immigrations and read sites and forums. I helped him try to find a job, my friend too and he ended up accusing her of trying to get fancy with me...

So he ended our relationship with a text message. 'It's over'. So dramatic. Typical.

Being the stupid ass that I am, I wrote 3 long texts to him begging him to reconsider and the reasons why we would be good. I promised never to scold him and not to go out with other men. He ignored me.

Then he called me few days later at a wedding

I love being a masochist, I texted him again 2 days later begging him to come back again. I got abused. So I booked a trip to Bali for my birthday.

You see, I was supposed to have a road trip with him two weeks after the break up. Everything was booked. I was going to spend my birthday there with him. Thanks J. This year was the best birthday ever. I stayed home to play WoW and howl in misery while you went out with your skanky friend who has been chasing you like a bitch on heat every since she met you in January. Oh yes, I know that. Who posts so much stuff on your Facebook and tried to get into your pants the moment she found out you broke up with the stupid kineza? I bet she didn't know you got it with her friend.... twice. You lied to me and told me you didn't fool around? You accused me of doing it instead. But look, I didn't and I never will cos I'm simply not u. But still you accused me of it and you never stopped. U should be named Tenacious A. (A for Accuser)

Don't kill me but I texted him again a 3rd time.... begging to meet him in Australia. I would fly over.... he abused me. Again

I know J more than he knows me. And I knew the moment he found out I was going to Bali he would go back to his homeland. Ta-daa! I was right. Well, put yourself in my shoes. You get dumped before your birthday and you were supposed to be overseas with the man you were going to marry, why would you want to stay home and crawl in a corner with misery? For fuck's sake, I thought he was going to propose to me on my birthday! Ha ha! How stupid can I get? I laugh at myself for being such a retard everyday. What a fucking fool.

Well, I cried LOTS in Bali. I cried rivers till I was blue in the face. But did he know that? No. Apparently, I was searching for a new toy to play with. On the way back to his homeland he had to stop in Singapore, he texted me while I was in the room with my good friend. Why? Maybe he missed me since he's in Singapore?

Well it was a looong chain of messages we exchanged and not once was I ever sarcastic but you twisted all my words and abused me emotionally. I cried and cried while texting and when I took too long to reply once, he said, 'Oh so is this how it is going to end then?' He ignored my calls and ignored my texts and even now ignoring the friendly Facebook mail I sent him yesterday and he dares tell me that? I know he read the mail already and I know what he's up to now with someone. I'm not stupid. But stupid enough to keep missing him and still bloody loving him. Someone just shoot me already. Too many stupid people in the world now.

So at the end he said he didn't know whether being with me was worst or being without me was worst. And he promised to think about it when he's in his homeland for an indefinite time... Thanks darling, you swore we could never be together again and now you're telling me you are going go think about it? So what? Prolong my agony just to kill me again?

And he left... back in his homeland now. No messages from him, no reply to my friendly Facebook message. And all I did was to reply a second too slow for your SMS... Look what you're doing now?
I can say now, "Is this how it's going to end?'

And to think, I sold my beloved Vespa just so to prepare to move to Australia. I was saving money so that I didn't have to take his while I worked quietly on the sly there. I was geared up to leave my parents behind. Leave the job I love and all my friends... For a place where I will be racially discriminated by his friends and family because I'm Chinese. Where I won't be able to make any new friends since he's scared of both male and females trying it on me. Where I'll have to depend on him.

Fuck me. I still love him. Fuck me sideways and shoot me in the head.

Healing and self discovery

A month ago, namely 9 June 2011, I was surreptitiously dumped by the man I thought I was going to marry. In all honestly, it was done after a quarrel over the phone, nevertheless it took me by surprise anyway. I was in shock and soon after depressed and then seemingly recovering when it hit me like a truck again. I spent a week crying quietly in office, typing minutes with endless tears flowing. I spend everyday crying in bed before I sleep, missing him badly, wanting to hold and smell him again. After that, I had weeks to rant and rave. I even gave up my pride to beg him back thrice, only to be met with silence and then abuse. I was delirious. I had no place to escape. Slowly, with friends and company, I managed to recover. Then the next painful realization, He Has Moved On.... Back to square one.

So what happens now? The void seems to want to stay and taunt me from within. While I shamelessly stalk his Facebook and scan all his female friends, I seem to get a picture in my mind. Unknowing to him, I actually understand him more than he thinks I do. I have been correct and spot on with every slight move he makes and how he thinks even before it happens. Unfortunately, I am usually right. There are times when I wish I was wrong and these are such times.

Maybe it's just the human reaction to pain, and that is to quickly find someone else. Whether to keep company in bed or to share the time together holding hands and starting something new. I can understand that because that's how I used to handle heartbreak. It isn't hard for him for he is good looking, hardworking, generous...he is all that a woman wants. I was technically his first girlfriend. And from his past lifestyle of constant clubbing and having any female he wants, he naturally turns to suspicion when it comes to my male friends. Why he always accused me of flirting with others, I never knew. I always told him the truth and he knew it but then used it against me. Jealousy and obsession are the worst combination in a relationship and they usually come hand in hand. I have my own share of those two demons. If not, why would I constantly spy on his Facebook even though I know it will hurt me? To see his connection with other much younger girls? To watch them go after my ex even from the time I was actually with him. Facebook is seriously a hellhole.

I had been willing to give up everything I had in Singapore, including leaving my parents behind to move to Australia. That was the hardest part, being the only child and the obligation to looking after them in their old age. I was willing to be part of this family, who did not think I was good enough for him. I was willing to be part of his friends, who also didn't think I was good enough for him. Why? Because I am a kineza, Greek for Chinese. So why was I willing to leave everything I loved behind only to be looked down by all his family and friends? Because I love him. I love him still despite all the hard words and his actions because I know the man he is inside. "True compassion is not just an emotional response but a firm commitment founded on reason. Some people get through break ups in days, weeks or years, some don't even seem to get over it. The process to recovery is a painful lonely journey. Yes friends play a part, a very important part. I have friends who have listened to me cry till wee morning, who went for a holiday with me, who made me laugh and forget my pain for the moment, but in the end, YOU have to have to strength within to pull yourself up from the dark pit.

Right now I am still learning how. Praying and Buddhist chants can only do so much. I guess time will heal but damn it takes such a long time. It seems unfair how someone who proclaimed to love you and promise to marry you can get over it so quickly. I suppose it's because I'm the only idiot who thought it was worth fighting for. Well, I've stopped fighting because I lost the battle even before it started.

I guess the one good thing that came out of this is the weight loss. I am finally rid of my excess 5 kilo baggage!

World of Warcraft Anonymous vs Having a Life

For the last 2 years I've totally immersed myself in this ridiculous, vulgar, heart attack inducing and utterly addictive game called World of Warcraft, where everyone calls everyone else a noob and nerdrages galore.

My life was and still is revolving around loyally obeying NPCs and mindlessly killing innocent mobs just to get a few golds and squeezing a millimeter onto the experience bar. And for what motive? Hence, this little blog has been sitting in the dust for the last 2 years BUT is now ready to be aired in the sunshine again! (hopefully)

Contradicting myself, I am amazed at why people get hooked onto this mindless game. Let me tell you the routine of my everyday anti social lifestyle:

Firstly, I hardly leave the house. That isn't necessarily a bad thing since I save tons of money. So now you know who to rob.... the nerds

Secondly, I'm permanently with my headphones and my WoW friends are my constant companions on Skype while playing together... and talking about WoW

Then, I muse over whether I should buy this material to level up this profession or what gems to buy to go with his pretty new shoulders. I haven't used this noggin ever since I graduated and I'm probably using up more brain cells now than ever.

To add to the mix, my sentences are peppered with words like 'nub', 'retard' (to nasty people) or abv of spells and attacks. Seriously, WTF eh! FFS!

I'm probably too old to be playing games and I definitely started World of Warcraft way later than others but that doesn't stop me from doing it anyway. And if I must say I make a pretty sexy Priest! (not the molesting kind thankyouverymuch)

Anyway it's going to be consecutive months of late nights and panda eyes cos Cataclysm is out on 7th Dec! Geekily pre ordered digital version!

So back to the question, why is World of Warcraft so addictive? How are kids getting so much bad habits and getting fat and losing tempers over this? What makes them think that by gearing your Shaman with Warthful is going to get you the job you want or is being a no life slacker your ambition in life? Trust me, I've met slackers who refuse to work and are 25 hrs gaming.

Luckily, I still have a little shard of hope since I still meet friends for dinner and I do feel sick of playing sometimes. And don't forget the holidays!!!!

Belgium! Oooh... chocolates

Speaking of holidays, Belgium is a beautiful place. Even though I merely stayed in the house most of the fortnight but I woke up to the astoundingly fresh smell of winter air. Ooh I spent 3 kilos on Belgian chocolates and I don't mean luggage weight. Bastogne is a military tourist buff state but other than that, nothing else but pretty fields and cows.

Corsica on the other hand is.... indescribable. It is an island off France with stunning mountain top views and beaches with crystal clear waters. Their frommage is something else tho. If a local gives you one of their homemade cheeses, make sure you're prepared for a taste explosion cos they sure know how to ferment them! I literally had to pretend that I had a weak tummy since the nice uncle, who owns a B&B in the treacherous mountains, kept force feeding me with their homemade cheese. To avoid it, I opted for ever safe cheddar cheese..... only to find out that it was a thick piece of bacon lard on toast.... how nice.

Happy Birthday Jon "Si Gina" the Intern

Hilarity never ends in MediaCorp, especially if you're from the promo and programming team. 10 hardy troops were well prepared for the hotpot buffet lunch treat, with loose clothing, for Jon, promo's intern. He's a darling lah this intern.

So as it seems, everyone was starving when we got there. I can only say one word. Whack! Plates of veggie and BEEF never ceased to arrive at our little room. The atmostphere was one of determined soldiers with one goal. To conquer. I swear we could have eaten the whole cow.

There were shouts and yells as photos were taken. I really meant taggable pictures for Facebook! All with mouth open and gobbling, greedy shots. I wasn't spared by Parker, whom I was mercilessly shooting with his mouth open and the spoon halfway in. It couldn't be helped you see, it was coinciding with the 1 minute interval that I was clicking away at everyone else. I suppose he finished his food at the wrong time.

So we had this brownie brought in and were made to yell birthday songs in 4 languages. The initial plan was to make Jon sing his own bloody song haha! He was literally begging us to help. Help like each person singing one word of the song. God knows when we will finish! I ate so much and stained my white top with chilli soup. Who cares! Food more important...

Happily, Benny, his boss took videos of the whole cake event. What a joke. It was the funniest thing ever. Including the manager of the restaurant who was hollering out Happy Birthday and holding a symphony with us, arms akimbo.

Lol! The office is a madhouse. you see, I found a yellow foam ball from Melissa's cubicle and proceeded to take sole proprietorship of it. I was looking for every opportunity to yell "think fast" and aim as best as I could! ........ Benny was the first target! Somehow he managed to dodge my yellow ball of fire.

Of course nothing goes without a consequence. He threw a peach at me. Now, I have splatters of soup and peach on my clothes, as well as all over my cubicle. The force of the peach's impact on a solid block of lard caused a disastrous and fatal reaction to the peach. I still ate what's left anyway, thanks Benny! I know it was meant as a whole peach for me!

Afterwards, a trip to K-box where Benny and Jon were going all out singing! i'm deadbeat from laughing the whole day.

Anger is an extremely volatile emotion. As I am currently, right at this moment, exactly at THIS bloody moment feeling right now. It's 2.30am and I am gradually rising in fury. Makes me wonder if I should put myself in a straitjacket before I harm someone. Or rather someones.

In a few hours from now, I will be feeling desperation of loss. How am I going to solve this object of my fury. I haven't been angry for many years now. I've always tried to make myself genuinely likeable to people. Amazingly, people find me comical when I'm seeing red. And that usually makes me laugh, cos I really do like to laugh, I love to be happy. I never bring pessimism into my daily life. Eventually, my nature is being taken advantage of. Nobody knows anyone's limit to anger. I suppose nobody will want to.

You'll understand why anger should never be tolerated:

Anger make one unpredictable
Anger causes harm to oneself and others
Anger means that the person who caused it is a piece of shit
Anger brings out the worst in everyone
Anger makes you ugly inside
Anger makes the mind work in twisted ways
Anger has not got a limit
Anger makes me want to do something bad

I am furious.

I am at the point of serious damage mentally. My mental health is very important because I am not a smart person. If I were smarter, I would not succumb to it.

My fucking hands are shaking.

You see, I'm not really myself when I'm angry. I suppose it changes the perception of me.

I'm angry at myself more than I am angry at the object.

The way they play with your head with their petty little mind games. How I wish I could do something to stop these little mind games. Stupid little mind games. Does it make you feel good? Does it make you feel superior? Why? Is it because you can?

... are you afraid I'll bring you down to my level? Congratulations, you already are. Telling your little little mean things. Is it because I'm better? Or because you have to put me down to feel good. Am I disturbing your mind?

I'm not at loss yet. I suppose the shit has to end up in a shithole somewhere. I am the shithole. Why? Because I'm labeled as the outcast. Because I'm different. Not much different my dear, as you may see yourself in me. Maybe more than you think. You're not any better. Nobody is better than anybody else, except a person with anger.

Don't think badly of my family. There is no heritage of insanity in mine.

Mid year is always the best time for me. Of course it comes after End year where there's Christmas and New Years and presents and cheer, and it also comes after Start year, that's when Chinese New Year comes along. Food and money and gambling. But still, Mid year is still my top 3 favourites.

Mid year for me in 2008 means I've been working at MediaCorp for close to a year already. I love my colleagues and my bosses.
It also means that I've known the Queens for 4 years already? Correct me darlings you know how my brain works.

A word of advise, don't eat 3 bowls of porridge at 5am in the morning, you get real bad bloat the next day. I feel like dying now.....urgh... I'm a monster and a greedy guz. I must have eaten a battalion's worth of food in the last week. I'm going to have to up my calorie burn every gym session now. Up to 500 calories burn. I think that's enough don't you think?

So we had this clubbing session with Mabel's Australian cousin, Shawn last night at MOS then to Zouk. Cool night except that I was the wet blanket cos I refused to drink and dance and I can't stand R&B. Luckily, my friends were happening or I'll just die. On a positive note, there were TONS of sexy men there. There was this sexy ang mo eating off the face of his equally hot girlfriend on the side, there was a bunch of hot dancing men in front, and quite a few bobbing around. If only it weren't R&B. You see, I'm not a fussy person when it comes to music.... ok I am.. but I really do not like R&B OR any popular music. Absolutely commercialized till they sound the same. Yee. Mainstream rock is ok. In fact, I dig David Cook's remake of that Mariah Carey song.

After a while, I took to my iPod for some instant relief, Rammstein.

Zouk was a nice change due to the late time (3am) and most people have left. But poor Nat had some dork puke on her lovely shoes! It could have been worse.. But I suppose it's because Luke and Nat gave us a smashing dinner at Holland V called.. 211? They had amazing pizza, I told Ning that I didn't want cheese but I couldn't resist, so now I'm suffering for it. Luke was really very generous cos more than 10 of us were present. I was loath to think how much he spent on us, so thank you again Luke and Nat for the marvel dinner.

Mega Escape: The Impalement Cage & Jasmine's Birthday photos

Man are we picture whores. Funny we didn't manage to get as much pictures of the performance, but in that 90s worth of breath holding, nobody really wanted to take photos. It was too stressful.

The whole performace was really very amazing, not to mention it looks a lot scarier in location than on TV. On TV you can still switch channels, right there... you cna only close your eyes and risk missing the first ever stunt in South East Asia by Ning.

Happy Birthday Jasmine! Poor Jas got robbed the day before. That seriously sucks.

Birthday's here again! And over now. I spent my birthday week gorging myself crazy with food with all the dinners with my favourite Queenies, cousins and getting sandfly bites. Bloody tenacious buggers made my foot swell with pain. I received a grand total of 10 birthday bites on my right foot..

So where does being 26 leave me? Am I still in my mid 20s or have I been promoted to late 20s? Geez, I don't want to grow any older but who cares? I'm immortal anyways, I'll probably take over another body next time.

Guess what I got for my 26 birthday? A Fucking Playstation 3! Whooooooooooooooooo Hooooooo! AND it comes complete with..... Devil May Cry 4! (ok so most of the world has completed the game already, but you think I care?) Just look how the sex simply oozes out of Dante. Hubba hubba! I was ecstatic and I couldn't wait to play with him. (It's the guy on top with the smoldering sideway glance for you non gamers).

Horribly, after 2 nights of playing, my fucking television decided to give me a 'blank stare' in the middle of a mission. Lucky that I've saved the last mission or I swear I'll kill someone and then I'll kill myself. Not after the total destruction of the parent company of my tv brand.

So I called the service centre the next day. The customer service was sweet until I realised that they won't come over and fix your tv if it's a 20" size. You see... never buy local brand products, they treat you like shit. 20" so what? It's still your bloody useless television and I'll have to transport it all the way down to Jurong? Pay for a $20 taxi fare there and another $20 back? Wait for 2 weeks and then pay another $40 to collect it? Since the warranty is just over, I'll have to pay for the repairs as well. Funny how stuff always spoils slightly after the warranty date is over. No way I'm going to bring it down. If they can't give proper service to their customers because it's a measly 20" then I don't see the point in getting a new one from them anymore.

Well, since our local brand services sucked, I took the liberty to mass SMS my friends hoping to get a contact or 2 out of them for a tv repairman. It was great that 2 of them gave came back to me immediately with it, it was not so great because these 2 contacts did not answer their calls. Weekend you see. Never mind, I waited over a year for DMC4 to come to me, I can wait a while longer. (Actually I can't wait! My life is OVER! Ruined by you buggers who refuse to come and fix my tv!)

But on a good note, make it a GREAT note, Ning's SOUTH EAST ASIA’S FIRST MEGA ESCAPE: THE IMPALEMENT CAGE last night was a roaring success. I'll need to find a clip to load up cos I am so fucking proud of her. I wish all of you suckers who didn't go could've seen her. What sex appeal, such grace and beauty. What DRAMA!

10 seconds into the 90 before the spikes came down, I had to close my eyes. She was only halfway done to freeing herself. I was not breathing and I really had to close my eyes. But then I thought to myself, 'I was invited by Ning to come here and watch her perform the daredevil stunt. I'm right in front with a big bunch of flowers that I wanted to wave in her face when it's over, I damned well better open my eyes to see her get out of there!' I tell you the stress was so whatever, I was sweating. I was like 'Faster faster!' in my head. And she still had time to unpin her hair in the cage before stepping out just 1 sec before the steel spikes came down.

This is the LAST time I want to see this stunt. It just hit me 12 hrs after the performance that you can really DIE from this!!! Reuse all you want, but put a safety net to catch the spikes halfway before it actually impales you babe. Or make the spikes sponge or even better out of burgers. God I sound like a prude. But it's no joke!!! I know you're immortal too but it's so dangerous... you could scrape your fingers and have blood smeared, precisely what happened last night! And she lost 2 toenails during rehearsals...

So I've got my tickets to Luxembourg booked for X'mas & New Year and I'm heading to Bangkok this Sat again. Cool eh.

I've been getting lots of great news from the Queens and elsewhere too, it's great! I'm really happy for Ning and her Mega Event: The Impalement Cage coming up. She's been on most print matter right now, like totally rocking Ning! And you know the best thing? She's still humble and sweet and such a beautiful friend. Not to mention a great rack :p!

Even after all those publicity and almost celebrity status now, she's still making time for friends and family. I'm so proud of you Ning!

Finally, the big day has come for the first of the Queens to get hitched. A year we've been waiting for this day and the wait was worth every second! Except for the painful little left toe... damn that shoe. Natasha looked every bit a Queen that day, all beautiful and with such grace, it was truly a wonderful wedding. I'm so glad you have found your special someone to spend your life with. Luke is such a gentleman you lucky girl. Luke of course is luckier to have you!
