Dad's Attack

When I say "attack" I really meant it. My dad suffered a heart attack this morning and I just can't help it but I HAD to tell everyone the details...

9 am: My father told me thru my closed door that he wasn't well and I was naturally asleep. But that was till I heard him say the words "chest pain". Phowr, I jumped up and pulled on my clothes and rushed to the door and there he was clutching his chest complaining of pain. I panicked and he insisted on waiting for mum to go to work first before calling her. then he proceeded to go and clean out the bird cage despite me telling him to leave it to me. Being him, he refused cos I wouldn't do a good job so I let him be.

10am: It got a bit worse as the aspirin wore off and I urged him to go bathe. I had already bathed by then and I saw him sweeping!! Can you believe it! SWEEPING! I nearly manhandled him to the bathroom and he told me he needed to read the papers and clear his bowels first... Christ!! A heart attack and he still dwaddles! In fact, he took so much time that I could sweep the house AND put on my make-up... The best part comes... While I was rushing him to get out of the house this amazing conversation took place in the flurry of panic and urgency.

Dad: I got to wear my shoes

Me: Ok, then faster wear them.. the taxi is waiting already, don't waste time cos it may get really bad.

D: (wears socks with face scrunched up in pain) Haiyah wait, I got to water the plants....

M: (totally stupefied) !! Water the plants! No need lah! At this time, are you mad!?

D: No, they were playing mahjong last night so I didn't water them. The plant will die.

M: Huh!? Ok okok, I'll water them now, you go quickly go and wear your shoes!

I rushed to water the plants in the balcony. While I was splashing around madly Mr. Han walked out with his bloody socks!

D: Let me water them! You're too short you can't reach! ( then he grabbed then watering can from me and proceeded to slowly water them bloody plants in the f**king balcony!! While having a heart attack!!! I was so so mad!)

11am: I called for a taxi to rush us to the Mount Elizabeth hospital to see a doctor. By then he was in greater pain and I was mad at myself for not calling an ambulance. We met my mum there and managed to see the doctor and get referred to Singapore General Hospital.

4pm: He's better now that they did the ballooning and he's in ICU resting and asking me to bring his glasses and medication when I popped by later in the night. And don't forget to feed the birds and the fish and to bring Jacky out for a while.. And don't forget the glasses and other stuff...

1am: I'm just home.. I hope he's alright now :(

Quadbikes @ Hanmer Springs

This year the quad bike trip was better than the last. You can find this place within the town. Hanmer Adventure. We had Dave as a guide and Canadian, Ryan, join us as well. this trip is definitely worth the money for all 2 hours.
