Dinner and Dance at Zouk (more pictures from Razia's friendster site taken by Yana's camera)

This is a continuation of the pictures that I have left out previously by courtesy of Yana's camera. It's a little blurred, I think it's the fault of the lighting, we were in a disco for those who don't know.

This is Yana's signature pose... hehehe

Gorgeous and posing.. Liz, Razia and Yana.

Vogue!!

Vogue, vogue!!

Who's the MAN?? James is!

3 beautiful Malay girls..

I'm covering up the fact that I'm having a Coke instead of Burbon coke. Teetotaller remember.

Yana and Rachel so pretty pretty pretty!

Is Yana trying to pick up twenty cents from the table?

3 stoners trying to look normal.

No wonder Joanne had a migraine later on, dig the neck angle!

We're the tag-team champions from the BWF (Boutique Wrestling Federation)!!! Take us on if you dare!

Yana sabo-ed us by doing this zoom in pic. Joanne requested she take it further up actually..

Yana and me at the shop, with me trying to hide my arms. Never attempt pictures with slim people, you'll fail miserably.

This is a picture of poor taste. The bag is in the way, there's a space between the retard and razia and what's with the pout?

All looking so jolly happy. I think that was the time when I needed to fart.

rachel, me, james, razia, liz and yana are superstars!! Just behind is a 'Phua Chu Kang' stage show going on. Some guy threw the stage costumes at the MCee cos he didn't have a sense of humour. What a loser. ..

The belly dancing troupe. But this troupe does belly dancing of a different kind, we dance when we see food, then the belly dances when we've had too much!

Of Music, Games and Sector9 Longboards...

Call me a music idiot, but I lean towards the least common
type of music that's being played on air often nowadays. At the shop, we play Buddha Bar and Sex Lounge and Brazil Lounge and frankly after listening to the SAME discs over and over and over and over again for almost 3 years, I'm totally SICK SICK SICK of it! Just today I went and bought 3 dics from Gramophone; Putumayo World Music: World Groove, Latin Lounge and Congo to Cuba. Awesome! After catching Miami Vice, I think I'm in love with Cuban and Latin music now. Not the palpitating raps but the chill-out grooves! (People say that the show had been a disappointment, I think it's pretty fine.. Gong Li was beautiful, Collin Farrell was sexy, Jamie Foxx was, well, a fox.) I'm particularly fond of the third track in Latin Lounge; Siempre Me Quedara by BeBe.

I find listening to Loungy music once in a while very mind blowingly sensually erotically relaxing... Metal and Industrial music comes on when I'm mentally preparing myself to do something hard, like studying. Oldies soothe me to sleep and when I'm preparing for work, doing my make up. Anybody can have a large selection of musical favourties, however, I'm not into modern teeny booper pop and RnB unfortunately. Tell me I'm not musically inclined enough just because I dislike what many others call Top Chart Hits, and I'll say 'yes' I'm not. I'm entitled to my own world of music. I simply don't appreciate these new types, they all sound thealike. Same logic goes to others who are indifferent to oldies and trash/speed metal music. Anyway, you need a nice sinewy body to twist and roll hips and such to like these RnB/ Hiphop types. I personally like to root to the same spot and shake a little to the left and right. Just a little, not too much, my tummy will vibrate..

I'm old at heart really, I love Engelbert Humperdinck, Johnny Mathis, The Carpenters, Shirley Bassey, Frank Sinatra and the likes.. I've come to like industrial type music like German band Rammestein, electronic punk such as Prodigy and French metal type like The Enhancer and Aqme, the latters being introduced to me by this adorable friend of mine, a Belgian guy I keep in contact with over MSN. He's always sending me great songs. He's a darling and really cute and he introduced me to Hellsing a year ago, I just took an interest in it, like, 10 mins ago. He's a great lover of the Japanese manga comic and anime, I think he keeps a collection of these things. The last night I heard, he's looking for the twin pistols of his favourite character Alucard, twin guns called Joshua, (Balls : 13 mm explosives , Powders Mabelle NNA-9 , Shoots 9 and it's 42.75 cm long) and Jackal, which is an insane gun (weighing 17.5 kg and 39cm long, Balls: Heart solid silver of Macedonia filled with blessed mercury , Powders: Mabelle NNA-9 , shoots : 6). He got these facts from a French site. So let me know if anyone can find the replica.. They kinda look like Ebony and Ivory in Devil May Cry to those who play PS2 games but twice the size of those awesome guns that nv ever run out of bullets.

Walk through action games are absolutely funtastic!!! I love these action games! Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry2, and Devil May Cry: Dante's Awakening are my THE BEST games ever! I'm not sure about you, but I've enjoyed venting the chiseled half-demon's revenge on renegade monsters, and there's nothing like killing a horde of monsters when you're having a bad day and feeling really pissed off! Other games to relieve tension may be Dynasty Warriors, Drakengard, Onimusha: Demon Siege, Chaos Legion, Crimson Sea and other action games with enemies attacking like avenging waves and the annilation is absolute satisfaction... Devil May Cry 4 has recently launched their official Japan Website on the 8th of September and lucky crew at Gamespot have tried their hands on the new game, read about it: TGS-06 Devil May Cry Hands-on. Check out the cheat codes and DMC info at Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening. The gameplay is great, visuals are stunning and the main protagonist is such a fox man! Pwhor! I admit, I judge games by their covers! Capcom produces some of best games so far that I've played. The other fav game from the same company has to be Onimusha 3: Demon Siege, both characters take on the models of Takeshi Kaneshiro and Jean Reno in a modern France and epic Japan. Visuals are the best of the Onimusha series. Other games of interests are The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, but I had difficulties controlling the characters cos there were so many things to control. The cute Belgian, Christophe, is an avid gamer and is so much better at this game. Shadow Hearts: Convenant is the only RPG game that I ever played, alas, before I could complete the game, the ex and I broke up. Haha the Urbz and The Sims: Bustin Out is hell of a fun too, once you get over the controls!

I don't like horror games, they give me the creeps but don't say I haven't tried any, I played Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly and Resident Evil: Outbreak. After playing Fatal Frame 2 under the blanket, sweaty palms and the volume down, I decided I'm really not a horror sort or person. I roared when the door shook announcing the arrival of the first ghost coinciding when my ex's room door shook upon impact of a big fist. Taking photos of ghosts... that's madness!

Eddy likes war and car racing games and also games that generally levitate the status of gangsters like Grand Thef Auto. He's got a Playstation2, Xbox 360 and PSP. He's scary when he plays games cos he yells curses and throws the controller anyhow. Sometimes I'd just snatch the controller from him when he dies so I can play instead of watching the controller whizz past. He has finished Burnout Revenge already and now on the verge of continuing what he hasn't finished, Midnight Club, Battlefield2.... I can't remember what he has anymore... Too bad he can't play PS2 games anymore. He threw the controller during Midnight in the Club and his console is gone from all the abuse...

Really quite fun once you get used to it.

A tension reliever.

I bought a
Sector9 Longboard for Eddy last month
. It's just reached me and Cor! it took me long enought to wrap the thing. It's long and the box sucks. Ended up like a pancake. Eddy has always been into these 'board games'. Skateboards, long boards, carveboards, snowboards, you name it. He's really into extreme sports too, a real extremist. This Bombhills Longboard wa meant for his birthday on the 28th of October, but I couldn't resist giving it to him more than a month early!

Dinner and Dance at Zouk

Liz, Razia and Yana all look gorgeous.... Isn't it envious?

Razia looks fab!! Dig the look of mystic...

The whole bunch of highclass shopkeepers!

Razia and me wanted to take a candid shot... So how come I was the only candid one?

All of us before starting the dinner. Actually the food was buffet and we were worried because there were many greedy people going as well. I can't stand myself. I always end looking like a retard. Oops Rachel closed the eyes..

Liz, Razia and Yana looking so so so pretty. Some ppl just refuse to smile with the mouth open. Show some teeth! HeHe.

Today, on the 18th Sept, I just came back from my dinner and dance at Zouk and it's 11:30pm. I'm having a HANGOVER! That's impossible you say? Well it's not. Come by and see me then. It's the worst, especially when you can't consume any alcohol. I got conned into drinking a sip of 'orange juice'... God I feel sick. My tummy sucks like a tsunami, my head feels like a mini earthquake, i'm puking like a volcano. What a disaster! It's only 4 hours ago and one tiny sip. I was intending to dress up as Steve Irwin but changed to Shakira at the last moment, I wonder how I ended up as a rockstar, anyway I looked more like a wrestler. My wrestling alias is ' Stone Teetotaller'.. I got a 16" stand fan for the individual prizes everyone gets something. Razia recieved a humidifier, Joanne got a comforter, Rachel won a cosmetic set with chinaware and a resigned Yana recieved a mens' polo t-shirt for the 3rd year running. This might be the last year that I'm attending the company's dinner and dance and I'm really going to miss my collegues. They are the BEST!! I LOVE U girls!!

I don't know what Joanne is trying to do but since taking pics in the shop earlier on (be up later), I decided not to be a Rockstar as intended but be a wrestler! Dig those arms..

I told Razia that she resembled our regular customer. I think we decided that she was a Bollywood actress in the end. Liz is Beyonce, but I secretly named her as my tag team partner, she's the 'Busty Girl'

I don't understand why I still look so bloated after taking Hydroxycut... Fat means fat.

11:30 pm
Help... I'm dying. The last time I drank was when I was 18. I got drunk 3 times and never touched alcohol again and I'm proud of it. Really! I think after such a long period of not consuming alcohol, I might be suffering from
alcohol intolerance.

12:45 am
I just opened up my door gift. Recieved a
  1. towel with 'Tangs' new logo on it (gave to mum)
  2. TY Caring Carla blonde cury haired doll (giving to my niece)
  3. frosted mug (myself)
  4. 1 man 1 ladies miniature perfume (dumped them on my mum)
  5. 1 small box that looks like a miniature spectacle case
1 am
I'm tossing and thinking of running to the toilet

2 am
I managed to get half an hours sleep before I dreamt of the Tangs Manhunt. I woke up shouting support for our vice president Mr T.

5:30 am
I smsed Eddy asking if he's feeling better now. He's got the gastric flu (poor darling) and trust me it sucks like f**k. I get it every year and I just take it as my own Marie France. It comes out both ways. I bet if it could come from more than those 2 ways, it would have! Sometimes it comes out rom my nose too..

5:40 am
I still have migraine. My tummy still feels like Katrina. Went to make instant porridge with chilli tuna

7 am
Help.. why is everything white?

11 am
Thank god I'm still alive.

Birds are just as lovable as dogs!

When I was taking my O levels I thought it was a good idea to get a little pet to keep me company while I sat for my big exams ( actually the main reason was to keep me home). I thought long and hard before I decided on a
Budgerigar. It was the bird within my budget and had the character of 'someone' I wanted.

I went to get one soon after at Goodwill Bird Trading located at Serangoon North. Goodwill Trading has the cleanest and biggest variety of birds ever! Seriously. Most of the birds are hand fed so are quite used to the human touch. They had Macaws, Budgies, Conures, singing birds and even Toucans! However, I didn't know that I was supposed to find a baby so that it would be tamed easily. Needless to say, Penny, the new green yellow budgie, was 3 months old then and didn't ta
ke to being handled by me lightly, she fought and bit like a crocodile! I was traumtised and my fingers had plasters and I didn't get to study much... I read up all about budgies, how to train her how to play with her but she kept rebutting me. Finally, a friend of mine told me to leave her alone, she'll get bored somehow. And so I did. After 3 days of solitude, she got really bored and came out of her cage to sit on the top of it, looking at me suspiciously all the while. The next day she started to jump on my lap. I had a backache and cramp from sitting still for 6 hours! The next day, she actually jumped onto my hand and seemed like we were pals for yonks. That was the beginning of a great relationship with birds.

So far, I've owned 4 budgies, 2 cockatiels, 1 lovebird, 1 quaker and 1 sun conure, the latter 2 belonged to my father really. Sad to say, only the quaker remains. The rest flew away. My last baby was a Lovebird called Birdy. VERY original. Both the cockatiels were called Birdys too. The quaker is named Jacky and the conure, Winnie. My dad also owns a huge cageful of finches.
Birds are
almost as intelligent as dogs. They are loyal if you rear them from young, they converse with you, they lick your tears when you're sad, and they can usually be trained to talk.

My lovely Birdy III. She's a terror and and sweet little thing. I really miss her so.

I really want an African Grey and another budgie and cockatiel. Check out Youtube.

to have a look at those birdy videos. Here's some of my favourties and a few other clips I happened to view. some are hilarious... to me.. I really dig Chulo the Budgie.
Here's some non bird videos that I found funny:

Choosing the right bird for you: Going to the internet and reading up about avarian breeds and habits is a good starting point already. The next step is to do more research if you aren't too sure about it by now. Some people have the misconception that ALL parrots can talk. NOT TRUE! And don't go rehoming your pet bird or let it free or just giving it away ( if you want to give it away, give to me! Gimme gimme!) just because it refuses or can't learn to talk. African Greys are known to be the most intelligent species but not all can talk, some imitate noises and others just choose to make birdy sounds. In fact, some other birds can learn to talk like parrots. I just learnt that Starlings can actually learn to talk! Listen to WeeWoot he talking Starling at the link below.

Lifespan of a bird; they live longer than you think: A first time buyer needs to know is that not all birds have a short life span. A small bird like a budgie has a life span of about 6 years but I have read about this pet budgie that has lived for almost 30 years. The bigger species like the macaws can live up to the average age of a normal person to almost 100 years, so keeping them is a lifelong responsibility. The bigger the bird, the more responsibility. And its poop is much bigger too, not to mention the noise.

Temperment and Breed: By doing research and reading up on the bird you are interested in, you will be able to judge if it is the right pet for you. Some species require constant attention while others are able to stone for hours. By keeping a pet you have to be able to supply them with fun and food and freedom. Freedom doesn't mean you throw them out of the window and wave! It means that you bring them out of the cage and play with them for AT LEAST an hour everyday. Remember how you felt when you weren't allowed to be let out of the house to play? They feel the same way.
Do you want a bird that will be eager to come out of his cage and socialize, or would you prefer a pet that likes to be seen but not touched? Different species exhibit different behaviours, like a sun conure will behave differently from a finch, their voices are louder anyway.

Time commitment and budget: Some birds like hookbills require daily exercise and interaction, will you be able to manage their constant need? In fact, when you want a bird for an interactive companion, you must socialise with them daily if not they will turn on you the next time or will simply fade away. And don't forget the finance, keeping birds even the smaller ones require money. The ones that live longer require a lifetime expenditure, but who cares!? We love them anyway! They;re practically family!

Nutrition and Maintenence: Some birds require specific diets or other special care. Lories, for example, are beautiful medium sized birds admired around the world for their striking colors. They have highly specialized digestive systems, however, which require them to be fed a diet of pollen, nectar, and fruit. This in turn causes them to produce liquid droppings, making it necessary to clean their cages more frequently than those of other species. While there are countless good reasons to buy a pet bird, issues like this are why it is so important for potential owners to learn as much as they can about their favorite species before bringing one home.
